2022 Holiday Market Vendor Application

Interested in vending at the Holiday Market?! Check out the info below and fill out our app. We’re excited to welcome new and returning vendors every year! Applications deadline is November 4th. 

The Owosso Holiday Market is our annual one-time evening market on December 1st. We are accepting applications for the following vendor categories: artisan, retailer, grower/producer, food concession, and specialty service (entertainment value). This market is targeted specifically for Holiday shopping customers, and hosts over 2,000 shoppers every year!

The Space

The Holiday Market is located inside The Armory in Downtown Owosso. Vendors will set up on the main and lower level of the Armory (both are accessible by ramp and elevator). Vendor setup will begin at 2pm, the market event is open from 5 pm – 8 pm. Vendors are required to stay for the entire length of the market.

A single vendor space for the Holiday Market is 8 ft wide x 8 ft deep. The indoor space for this market is limited to allow for flow of traffic and adequate room for each vendor. Both levels of the Armory will have 20-22 vendors booths. Food concession vendors will set up on the sidewalk in front of the Armory entrance with up to 18′ of space. Limited power hookup is available.

Requirements 

All vendor are required to provide a full booth setup including: table coverings, business signage and legible pricing. Every vendor is required to bring a sufficient amount of product to last for the entire length of the market.

Vendors wanting to re-sell unique items or provide a specialty services are welcomed to apply. Please note: we do not accept any direct sale/wholesale only vendors for this event. This is an artisan focused market with a purpose to provide handmade and crafted products from Michigan businesses.

The Owosso Farmers Market prohibits vendors from: any sales of raffle tickets, all forms of organized or intended soliciting and/or political activity or displays. Distribution of content-based literature or marketing is not permitted within the event. Smoking of any kind at a vendor space or inside the Armory is prohibited.

Application 

Please be thorough and accurate when completing the vendor application! The information your provide and each product item you list is what we base your acceptance off of. If approved, you may not bring additional items to sell outside of what you included on your application, unless approved by the market manager.

With limited space, we can only allow a limited amount of approved vendors per each category and/or business type to reduce vendor redundancy. All applications are juried by the Owosso Farmers Market board for approval – which considers various factors, including, but not limited to, the following:
-Vendor’s compatibility with the Market Mission and event type
-Vendor’s ability to comply with the rules, including a thoroughly  completed application
-Diversity and quality of products, all are locally made by you and your business
-Vendor’s previous commitment, attendance, and conduct at the Farmers’ Market or other vended events with the Owosso Farmers Market

Accepted vendors will be contacted via email starting October 20 – November 5th. There are no refunds under any circumstances. 

Vendor Fees

Vendor Booth

A single vendor space for the Holiday Market is 8’x8′. Vendors are allowed to purchase up to two (2) spaces for the same business. These are located inside the Armory on the first and lower level.

Food Cart / truck

A single food vending space in the allocated food truck area is located OUTSIDE of The Armory entrance with limited power access. This fee covers up to 18 feet of space for a single concession vendor.

Vendor Application’s Are Closed!

Please note: We receive more applications than the allotted space for this event, not evert vendor will be accepted. All responses will be sent out by November 7th. Each application is reviewed by our vendor jury team, to ensure that your products meet the criteria above and to limit vendor redundancy. We have the right to approve or deny any vendor application. If approved, we will contact you and require the following: any necessary permits/insurance information, a signed market agreement with your vendor fee. If your application is declined, you may appeal this decision by emailing The Owosso Farmers Market within 24 hours to begin an appeal process.
